Building a Better Future for Fairfax County

The mission of the Adult and Community Education (ACE) Training and Scholarship Foundation is to meet business needs to strengthen Fairfax County's skilled workforce. By providing support for training and scholarship assistance for Adult and Community Education career development programs administered by Fairfax County Public Schools, the Foundation will help to develop a talented pool of workers and contribute to the economic development of the county and to the well-being of families in this community.

The target audience for these services is low-income job candidates and entry-level employees who live and/or work in Fairfax County. Standard income guidelines that take into account total household income and family size will provide the parameters for determining "low-income".

Goals:

• To identify needs for training assistance in the community and establish priorties for raising and distributing funds for scholarships and related uses.
• To raise funds to meet identified needs.
• To provide information regarding ACE programs, needs, and opportunities to the Fairfax County business community.
